About The Position

The On-Figure Apparel Stylist at Gap will play a crucial role in enhancing the brand's visual identity through high-quality product photography. This position involves collaborating with brand partners to create elevated looks in a fast-paced photo production environment, ensuring that the styling aligns with the brand's aesthetic and marketing objectives. The stylist will work closely with various stakeholders, including the Senior Manager of Styling Operations, to maintain creative consistency while meeting production goals.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in high-volume commercial fashion studio.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience working as a commercial On-Figure fashion stylist.
  • Proven record of accomplishment and experience as a lead on-figure photo stylist, with editorial, campaign, and product on-figure styling experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of proportion, fashion & trend, and the ability to apply this understanding to everyday work.
  • Experience in translating high-level brand creative briefs into styled out full editorial looks for special high visibility mini marketing shoots.
  • Experience working in a high-volume photo production environment.
  • Comfortable working with industry standard photography production applications and tools.
  • Demonstrated decision-making skills necessary to deliver multiple projects with competing deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Produce the highest quality product experiences for Gap.
  • Execute elevated and dynamic On-Figure product styling consistent with brand styling points of view.
  • Work in the studio under the direction of the Senior Manager, Styling Operations, while functioning independently alongside Account Managers, Art Directors, and Photographers.
  • Understand marketing and merchandising seasonal objectives to reflect visual cues throughout the production of assets.
  • Manage assistant stylists on set to achieve and maintain the pace necessary to meet production goals.
  • Identify new ways of working to ensure agility and flexibility while maintaining or exceeding production goals.
  • Lead the on-set team to complete daily shot goals as established by the Account Management team.
  • Proactively identify challenges in workflow or process and provide potential solutions to the Senior Manager, Styling Operations.
  • Maintain cross-functional relationships with studio operational partners.
