About The Position

The Vehicle Trailer Driver is responsible for the safe, professional transportation of luxury, exotic, and collectible vehicles. Many vehicles handled in this role have low ground clearance, specialty aero components, and high replacement value, requiring advanced loading techniques and extreme attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Select and connect the appropriate truck and trailer configuration based on the specific job requirements.
Complete thorough pre-trip inspections of both truck and trailer prior to dispatch.
Safely load and unload vehicles, including luxury, exotic, and collectible vehicles with low approach angles and specialty bodywork.
Utilize proper low-angle ramps, soft-strap tie-downs, and non-invasive securement techniques.
Perform detailed pre- and post-transport inspections with photo documentation and condition reporting.
Return vehicles and equipment to CVS facilities in a timely and professional manner.
Ensure proper operation and maintenance of CVS transport equipment, including DOT compliance, scheduled service, and required inspections.
Maintain accurate inspection logs for tow vehicles and trailers.
Maintain accurate time logs for work hours and driving hours in compliance with DOT regulations.
Communicate proactively with internal teams and clients regarding pickup/delivery timing.
