About The Position

We are seeking one individual to join our team as Stage 271 and River Event Steward. This on-call position offers a unique opportunity to be a part of our vibrant hospitality team, contributing to the success of various events and venues. As a Steward, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of banquets and other special occasions, providing exceptional service and creating memorable experiences for our guests. Starting Pay is $14 and Shifts will vary. Job Purpose or Objective(s): You will help maintain a clean, sanitized and orderly kitchen to ensure the highest standards are achieved throughout the food and beverage operations.

Requirements

Must obtain a SERV Safe Certification
Basic knowledge in the use of housekeeping/cleaning equipment and knowledge of chemicals as it relates to MSDS
Understand government public health and, or safety regulations
Verbalize and respond to guests and fellow coworkers
General computer/keyboarding skills.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Willingness to learn and adapt to different event setups and requirements.
Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations in the hospitality industry.
A passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and a commitment to team collaboration.
Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a hospitality or event-related role is an asset.

Responsibilities

Thoroughly clean equipment and facilities to conform to proper sanitation standards.
Wash pots, pans, and traps while maintaining the neat appearance of working areas and cleaning equipment storage areas.
Clean and disinfect walls, sinks, countertops, floors, tables, chairs, refrigerators, microwaves, and other areas of food service areas.
Clean and replace floor mats.
Support the dish room, operating dish machine.
Empty and clean garbage cans in dish area and throughout kitchen.
Perform other responsibilities as may be assigned
Set up and break down banquet rooms and event spaces according to event requirements.
Assist in food and beverage service, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to guests.
Maintain a clean and organized event space, adhering to health and safety standards.
Provide exceptional customer service, addressing guest needs and inquiries.
Collaborate with the kitchen and service staff to ensure seamless event execution.
Manage and coordinate event logistics, including equipment setup and breakdown.
Assist in inventory management and restocking of event supplies.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations during events.
Communicate effectively with the event management team and other staff members.
Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor at all times.
