Jacobs is seeking Staff Archaeologists to support a variety of projects in Northern California. This position provides cultural resources support for planning, engineering, and construction services to commercial clients. We offer flexible hours and benefits, and this position is available as either depending on candidate availability and organizational needs: part-time, on-call (without benefits), or part-time at 21+ hours per week (with benefits), or full-time (with benefits). The archaeologist career path provides the opportunity to work on projects that require compliance with the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), Archaeological Resources Protection Act (ARPA), National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA), and state regulations. All work will be conducted under the guidance of senior cultural resources staff. Frequent travel is expected for the position. It is imperative that candidates be able to work 8-to-10-hour days in a variety of conditions and understand that there could be frequent trips away from the office. The successful candidate should have a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each project.
