You will act as a visible deterrent to crime and client rule infractions and detect and report suspicious, unsafe, or criminal acts at or near their assigned posts. Because of the nature of this position, the On Call Officer program is viewed as a training ground for the next supervisors and leaders within Trident. As you will work at all locations, learning the various dimensions of our customer security programs, this role lends itself well to developing new leaders.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Driving Positions: Must possess a valid Driver's License with at least one year of driving experience.
  • Clean driving record: No major violations within the last 36 months, no more than 1 accident in the last 24 months, and no more than one minor moving violation in the last 24 months.
  • Must possess/maintain a valid state-issued Guard Card/Security License.
  • As a condition of employment, the employee must successfully complete a background investigation and a drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Communication: Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner.
  • Technical Proficiency: Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client-specific sites.
  • Self-Control: This role requires maintaining composure, keeping emotions in check, controlling anger, and avoiding aggressive behavior, even in very difficult situations.
  • Dependability: This role requires being reliable, responsible, and dependable in fulfilling obligations.
  • Critical Thinking: This role requires the ability to handle crisis situations calmly and efficiently.
  • Schedule: You will not have a set schedule; the schedule will be posted only the week prior for needed shifts. If not needed, plan to be on call or used to fill a post for another officer training.
  • Mobility: You are required to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
  • Environment: You are required to work inside and outside, regardless of weather conditions.
  • Travel: Required to drive a company/client vehicle between sites and work for multiple clients at multiple locations.

Responsibilities

  • Rapid Response: Must be available to work at least 2 shifts per day, 7 days per week.
  • Communication: Must have the ability to communicate via computer/phone and answer communications while at home. If a message is left, it is expected to return that communication within 30 minutes.
  • Flexibility: Required to work for multiple clients at multiple locations, covering special projects, call-offs, vacations, and open shifts, often filling requests at the last minute.
  • Security & Safety: Act as a visible deterrent to crime and client rule infractions. Detect and report suspicious, unsafe, or criminal acts that may be a threat to the property, clients, guests, or employees.
  • Customer Service: Assist client employees, customers, and visitors with questions, directions, and general inquiries.
  • Emergency Response: Handle crisis situations at the client site calmly and efficiently. Respond to medical emergencies and provide basic first aid, CPR, and AED as certified.
  • Reporting: Observe and escalate situations involving suspicious persons or situations.
  • Administrative: Participate in daily briefings to receive updated information in preparation for the shift.
  • Other: Any other duties as assigned by Trident.
