About The Position
St. Croix Hospice is dedicated to providing compassionate end-of-life care, guiding patients and families through their journey with dignity, comfort, and respect. As a Registered Nurse On-Call, you are a vital part of their 24/7 care model, delivering skilled and responsive care during evenings, nights, and weekends. This role involves addressing urgent patient needs, completing after-hours admissions, and offering confident guidance during critical moments. The position offers a 7 days on / 7 days off overnight schedule, promoting professional autonomy and work-life balance while allowing you to make a profound impact when it's most needed. The company seeks compassionate Registered Nurses who value meaningful patient connections and autonomy in their practice.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associates, Bachelors, or Masters)
- 1+ years of recent acute care experience required
- Current RN license in state of practice and CPR certification
- Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and proof of auto insurance
Nice To Haves
- hospice or home care experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Respond to triage calls and provide after-hours nursing visits for symptom management, admissions, and care plan updates
- Develop and adjust individualized care plans based on evolving needs
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, offering education and support to patients and caregivers
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation of care, outcomes, and communication
