About The Position

Delaware Hospice is actively seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to work ON CALL 7 days on/7 days off Mon-Fri 4p-12a and then Sat and Sun are 8am-12am. Our nurses are an integral part of Delaware Hospice's mission and interdisciplinary team. The On-Call Nurse functions under the direct supervision of the Hospice Director. Within the philosophy, objectives and policies of Delaware Hospice, Inc. and the philosophy and goals of hospice care. This is an exempt position.

Requirements

• Current RN licensure in State of Delaware.
• Minimum of 2 years oncology, medical-surgical or home care nursing experience.
• BSN preferred.
• CPR Certification required.
• Ability to bend, squat, drive for extended periods, lift and turn patients, and lift 30 to 60 lbs.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in pediatric care.
• Familiarity with hospice care philosophy and practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-call nursing care to patients as per the schedule.
• Conduct weekly medical assessments and manage the patient's care plan.
• Act as the primary point of contact for patients and their families.
• Assist with the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients and families.
• Follow all health care industry safety guidelines indicated in procedures manual.
