Requirements

  • Licensed Registered Nurse in North Dakota
  • Minimum of two years of nursing experience (psychiatric experience preferred)
  • Strong clinical assessment and care coordination skills
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively
  • Comfort working in an environment where residents may exhibit aggressive or acting-out behaviors
  • Ability to meet the physical demands required for crisis prevention and intervention

Responsibilities

  • Assessing acute and ongoing health needs using a person-centered approach
  • Coordinating medical care with physicians, providers, families, and community partners
  • Monitoring medications for side effects, effectiveness, and safety
  • Maintaining accurate medical records and attending medical appointments
  • Providing guidance on preventive care and best health practices
  • Reviewing incident reports and contributing to agency health and medical policies
  • Promoting autonomy, well-being, and personal growth for individuals served
  • Participating in scheduled on-call coverage
