About The Position

At Brighton/Suncrest Hospice, we are seeking On-Call Registered Nurses (RNs) to work a unique schedule of 7 on / 7 off. The work hours will be every other week, from Monday to Thursday 5 PM to 8 AM, and Friday 5 PM to Monday 8 AM. Our goal is to change the expectation of hospice care in the area by providing exceptional care and service to our patients. We achieve this by increasing our staff-to-patient ratios, which allows for more clinical visits and lower clinician caseloads. We are proud to be a Community Health Accreditation Partner (CHAP) certified hospice. Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in good standing in the state(s) of practice.
• One year of experience under license.
• Ability to work well within a team environment and collaborate with nurses, social workers, chaplains, volunteers, and CNA leadership.
• Strong clinical and communication skills.
• Time management skills to manage visits, documentation, and meetings.
• Ability to learn an electronic medical records system.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.

Nice To Haves

• Admissions and on-call experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and manage day-to-day activities including communication and meetings with healthcare professionals.
• Understanding of hospice rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and services for a group of hospice patients in various settings including private homes, assisted living facilities, and hospitals.
• Complete hospice admissions and patient visits as needed.
• Answer calls from patients, families, and customers.
• Make nursing visits for symptom management, deaths, and admissions as needed.
• Advocate for hospice services and Suncrest Hospice.
