About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for providing care and services for a group of hospice patients, visiting patients where they reside, which could include private homes, assisted living facilities, and hospitals. As a RN, you will complete hospice admissions and patient visits as needed. Applicants must have great clinical and communication skills. The RN is responsible for answering calls from patients, families, and customers. The RN will make nursing visits for symptom management, deaths, and admissions as needed. This RN must also be passionate about hospice care and be a great advocate for both hospice services and Suncrest Hospice. This position will be after hours on-call working seven days/nights on and seven nights/days off. Position is 5PM-8:30AM on-call.

Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (in good standing) in the state(s) of practice.
  • One year of experience under license.
  • Ability to work well within a team environment and collaborate with nurses, social workers, chaplains, volunteers, and CNA leadership.
  • Strong communication skills for 1-1 patient interactions and team collaboration.
  • Time management skills to manage visits, documentation, and meetings.
  • Ability to learn an electronic medical records system.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.
