ICF is currently seeking an On-Call Project Archaeologist to support the growth of our cultural resources practice in the Eastern U.S., especially on energy, transportation, and federal sector projects in the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic. Applicants living throughout that region are encouraged to apply. As a Project Archaeologist at ICF, you will lead and/or contribute to archaeology and cultural resources studies as either stand-alone projects or as part of larger multi-disciplinary projects. Technical duties will include conducting background research, field survey, laboratory analysis, and eligibility evaluation and documenting the results in technical reports suitable for agency and SHPO consultation. You will also combine your archaeology technical skills with regulatory compliance expertise to support project-level analysis and programmatic solutions for NEPA and Section 106 compliance (and state compliance, as applicable). The Project Archaeologist will work closely with our Senior Archaeologists and Historic Preservation Specialists on project work, with opportunities to direct and mentor early career team members.
