Requirements
- Is at least 18 years old
- Home Health Aide Certificate
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Is able to read, write and speak English
- Previous experience as a Home Health Aide, CNA or PCA
- Must be respectful and compassionate with good bedside manner
- Is able to record messages and keep records
- Is physically (good general health) and emotionally capable of performing the job
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with basic personal care, including bathing, dressing and grooming
- Assist client in getting into and out of bed, transferring to and from a wheelchair or walker
- Supervise Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
- Perform light housekeeping duties
- Accompany client to doctor s visits or other appointments/errands
- Plan, prepare, and serve meals according to dietary instructions
- Assists and encourages client to follow and prescribed exercise program which may include range of motion exercise and ambulation
- Supervise client taking their medications
