In this role you will assist the classroom teacher(s) in providing and implementing a developmentally appropriate educational experience for children from birth to age 5 enrolled in a variety of our program models. Compensation & Schedule: This on-call substitute role is a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing essential staffing support during both short and long-term vacancies. On-call team members enjoy flexible scheduling while playing a vital role in keeping EOCF programs running smoothly. Availability is needed Monday through Friday during daytime hours, based on program needs, with a minimum commitment of just 8 hours per month to remain an active employee. We are especially seeking candidates who can be consistently available on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Compensation is competitive, with an hourly wage ranging from $21.94 to $22.93, based on experience and qualifications.

Requirements

  • Associates degree majoring in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • Certificate of Proficiency in Early Childhood Education, current CDA certificate, or WA State Initial Certificate in ECE.

Nice To Haves

  • One year of experience working with children birth–5 in an early childhood setting.
  • Bilingual highly desired

Responsibilities

  • Travel to all parts of Clark County to support various sites.
  • Support the delivery of developmentally appropriate curriculum.
  • Assist in promoting children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
  • Help prepare and maintain classroom materials and learning environments.
  • Foster a safe, and nurturing atmosphere for all children.
  • Engage in active supervision of children, including indoor/outdoor play and mealtimes.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure quality and consistency across the classroom.
  • Implement established child development practices, principles and performance standards in a comprehensive classroom environment.
  • Adopt EOCF's commitment to supporting and strengthening children and families.
  • Maintain confidentiality of records and information.
  • Use the team approach to resolving problems or conflicts
  • Receive information and feedback in an understanding manner.
  • Attend appropriate staff meetings and out-of-town training sessions as assigned.
  • Perform the physical requirements of the job which include regular crouching, stooping, bending, kneeling, sitting on the floor to assist and engage with children, and outdoors on a playground setting monitoring safe play and supervision.
