About The Position

The University of New Mexico Student Health & Counseling (SHAC) is recruiting for a knowledgeable, detail-oriented ON-CALL Pharmacist to work in the SHAC Pharmacy. This position provides pharmacy services to patients/medical practitioners. Receives, compounds, fills prescriptions, dispenses pharmaceuticals, consults with clients regarding the nature and use of drugs, and trains and/or supervises personnel. Performs routine quality control testing procedures; prepares and maintains all necessary records required by federal, state and local regulations. The Student Health & Counseling Center is located at the center of campus. The clinic provides comprehensive primary, and mental health services and has a laboratory, x-ray, pharmacy, physical therapy, massage, acupuncture, case management, and health promotions on site. Other medical services provided are same day appointments, travel medicine, immunizations, and sports medicine. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Pharm.D.
  • At least 6 months of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • Certification/Licensure State of New Mexico Licensed Pharmacist.
  • Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
  • Must maintain certification status.
  • Employees who provide services or work in patient care or clinical areas are required to be in compliance with the University's influenza vaccination requirement.
