Job Title: On-Call Licensed Vocational Nurse / Licensed Psychiatric Technician Division/Program: (Children/Youth Inpatient) Psychiatric Health Facility Starting Compensation: 32.00 - 34.00 USD Per Hour Plus $2 hour for NOC Shift Coverage Only Working Location: Bakersfield, CA Working Hours/Shift: On‑call coverage needed Fridays–Sundays for 12‑hour AM and PM shifts (6:00 AM–6:30 PM / 6:00 PM–6:30 AM). Employee Recognition & Rewards: A culture that celebrates and rewards your hard work and dedication What you bring to SBHG: High School diploma or equivalent (e.g. GED, HiSET, etc.) required Graduation from an accredited school of licensed vocational nursing, graduation from an accredited school of psychiatric technology, or associate’s degree in nursing or social sciences preferred. One (1) year nursing experience required, preferably treating the mentally ill in an inpatient setting. (Clinical nursing school rotations may be substituted for work experience) One (1) year medication administration experience preferred. A valid California LVN or LPT license is required. Valid CPR certification required within 30 days of employment. Valid ProAct certification required within 30 days of employment. How you will make a difference: Visually and audibly observes, documents in writing, and reports orally or in writing the physical or mental condition to the Registered Nurse in charge of the facility on the shift and the attending physician. Orders, prepares, administers, and documents the administration of medication for clients according to physician’s orders. Confirms delivery of all ordered medication from pharmacy on shift worked. Responsible for writing daily summary of clients as assigned. Attend and participate in morning rounds, change of shift meetings, and treatment team meetings as scheduled on the assignment sheet. Makes written or oral shift assignments and plans, organizes, and directs the nursing activities of the unit, assuring quality care delivery. Provides other nursing duties including first aid and medical intervention within scope of licensure as necessary for each individual client. Supports admission processes to ensure PHF / YPHF beds remain full, including reviewing admission packets and securing approval, scheduling admissions, and completing all required verifications & forms upon arrival in facility. Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent (e.g. GED, HiSET, etc.) required
• Graduation from an accredited school of licensed vocational nursing, graduation from an accredited school of psychiatric technology, or associate’s degree in nursing or social sciences preferred.
