Overview:
The On-Call Licensed Massage Therapist will possess extensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology, work with clients of varying backgrounds, and provide massage and other body treatments following protocol and the individual needs of Club Members on an as-needed basis. The successful candidate will have to be self-motivated and have excellent communication skills, thorough knowledge of member satisfaction, and a passion for health and wellness, providing exceptional service to our members and guests. Massage Therapists must meet all licensure requirements in the State of Pennsylvania.

Requirements

• ? Valid State License in Massage Therapy
• ? Extensive knowledge of massage therapy trends and standards. Previous massage and bodywork experience
• ? Ability to explain various treatments/services to guests
• ? Excellent customer service skills and work ethic
• ? Be comfortable with product and treatment recommendations
• ? Be able to operate massage oils, lotions, hot stones, hot cabbies, hand towels, body treatment products, hot packs, mud, salts, and disinfectants
• ? Physical Requirements: Position requires balancing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, prolonged standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, repetitive motions, and the ability to occasionally lift to 25 pounds
• ? Punctuality and regular, and reliable attendance for scheduled shifts.
• ? Must be dependable and available to accept on-call shifts within the club on weekends, nights and/or holidays based on business demands and pre-set availability.
• ? Must have a positive attitude, be self-motivated, polite, and energetic

Nice To Haves

• ? Knowledge MindyBody software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• ? Adheres to Fitler Club Spa standards and philosophies as outlined by the Club
• ? Performs massage and body services that meet the established guidelines for the type of service offering, fulfilling, and exceeding guest expectations
• ? Understands and uses universal precautions when providing services. Assesses contraindications that may prevent service from taking place
• ? Ensures that work areas are clean and set according to the procedure. Cleans and disinfects all equipment daily
• ? Arrives early for all scheduled services to ensure the treatment room is ready for the guest's arrival.
• ? Manages their availability in MindBody, keeping it up to date so the MSA team can schedule sessions efficiently.
• ? Answers members’ questions in a knowledgeable and professional manner. Recommends aftercare and cross-promotes fitness programs
• ? Participate in continued club member feedback efforts
• ? Informs the Supervisor about product needs
• ? Creates and maintains client treatment notes, when appropriate
• ? Completes all assigned side work
• ? Available to work a flexible, on-call schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs and scheduled availability.
• ? Maintain confidentiality of all members and Club information
• ? Follows grooming and uniform standards established for this role
• ? Working as a team, effectively communicating with management and the member services team.
• ? Ensure that members' and associates' areas are maintained in a safe and secure environment
• ? Always being positive, showing enthusiasm, being humble, being thankful, and being respectful to all team members
• ? Performs all other duties as directed by immediate supervisors
