Job Title: On Call Kitchen Aide Department: Food Services- Early Learning & Family Services Hourly Wage: $17.50- $17.50 Position Type: On Call, Non-Exempt, Flexible Schedule Direct Supervisor: Food Services Manager Work Environment: Operate within an industrial kitchen setting and handle meal delivery responsibilities. This includes driving a KCR company vehicle to Head Start locations in Bremerton in various weather conditions. Job Summary Kitsap Community Resources kitchen staff help prepare meals for the children in Head Start, Meals on Wheels for the senior population, Naval Daycares and a few Senior Citizen Centers daily. This position is responsible for all aspects of meal service including food preparation, food quality and quantity, storage, sanitation, dishwashing and service to a variety of customers. This position requires doing a variety of duties including but not limited to assisting the cooks, food preparation, food packaging, food quality and quantity, storage, sanitation, all dishwashing, sweeping, mopping, general cleaning duties, organization of freight deliveries, inventory, and daily meal deliveries. After a 2-week training period, the On Call Kitchen Aide will be called on short notice to cover shifts starting as early as 4:30am and ending as late as 3:30pm Monday- Friday.
