What you will have an opportunity to do: Position Purpose: Provides and maintains all products for main kitchen and 2nd floor pantry/kitchen. Transports food items to and from purchasing area to kitchens in order to replenish items as needed to ensure consistency, freshness and rotation of products for the guest. Checks and controls amount of food items being utilized and rotation in storage areas of prepared foods, maintaining freshness and quality of product. Informs the manager if food does not meet La quinta resort and club high standards. Picks up and delivers requisitions of supplies and food items for kitchens. Picks up requisitions from Purchasing and stores products in designated areas. Labels all products and rotates items to ensure freshness Records and maintains temperature log to abide by HACCP Program. Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Hilton from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the hotel. • Performs general/routine cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards. • Keeps floors dry and clean to avoid slip/fall accidents. • Performs other duties as requested by manager. What are we looking for? Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required when performing work duties that may have the potential of risk to your health or safety. The hotel will provide the required PPE. Team members will be trained in the proper use and care of any assigned PPE. It is your responsibility to report defective, damaged or lost PPE, or equipment that does not fit properly, to your Manager.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge about determining food quality including storage, rotation and labeling procedures.
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to read, write and speak the English language.
  • Organized and effectively manages time.
  • High School graduate or equivalent preferred
  • One year restaurant (food industry) experience preferred.
  • Food Service Sanitation
