About The Position

Ferrum College is accepting applications for on-call drivers to assist in meeting the transportation needs of Ferrum College. Vehicles used will be provided by the College. Responsibilities may include transporting students on College-sponsored field trips, special events, or other off-campus opportunities; performing routine fueling and pre-trip inspection of vehicles; and recordkeeping. This position requires some overnight travel. A background check and driving check are required.

Requirements

• Must be over 21 years of age
• Current driver's license with a good driving record
• Ability to drive safely in all types of traffic conditions
• Willingness to submit to post-offer and annual background checks
• Ability to operate vehicles in accordance with College policies and applicable laws

Nice To Haves

• Experience driving in both rural and urban settings
• Familiarity with vehicle safety policies

Responsibilities

• Transporting students on College-sponsored field trips
