About The Position

The on-call caregiver should be a seasoned, experienced caregiver for senior citizens. HHA or CNA certification is desired, but a strong work history with elderly clients would be seriously considered if applicant was non-certified. The on-call caregiver has potential to make a significant amount of money. Full time work, overtime pay and a flat rate on call payment could all be combined in one pay period to make for a large payout. Referral bonus, sign on bonus, mileage pay, merit bonus, holiday pay and more are also available.

Responsibilities

  • Be available outside of regular business hours to the On Call Supervisor to fill last minute call outs and urgent client needs.
  • Assist clients in their own homes with activities of daily living.
  • Boost clients' spirits and significantly improve their quality of life by delivering quality and safe home health care services.
  • Accept responsibility for own actions and agree to be On Call during specific hours and days.
  • Return all phone calls within 15 minutes during the time period On Call.
  • Leave to see a client within 30 minutes of getting a call from the On Call Supervisor.
  • Accept all assignments given during the time period On Call, regardless of location.
  • Provide necessary information on own health status and experience.
  • Review client care plans prior to providing care.
  • Communicate with the agency about problems and concerns.
  • Complete required documentation accurately and on a timely basis.
  • Respect and maintain client confidentiality at all times.
  • Report concerns of client abuse or neglect.
  • Refrain from discussing personal problems, concerns, or opinions with client or client representatives.
  • Maintain access to an email account to receive client updates, schedule changes, company updates and highlights.
  • Wear personal protective equipment in accordance with training procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, insured vehicle that has had manufacturer’s recommended scheduled services.
  • Perform all tasks as noted in HHA, CNA or PCA job description.
