You will be working with a passionate & talented Banquets team to drive excellence in guest experience and the overall success of Banquets and Private Events, by delivering high standards in food quality, guest experience, & colleague engagement while in alignment with the culture and values of Langham Hospitality Group.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior banquets and food & beverage /hospitality experience required.
  • Activities include standing, reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, handling, grasping, lifting, carrying, talking, and walking.
  • Standing for 90% of work shift is required.
  • Requires the ability to lift 50lbs.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure proper set-up for all tables and buffets in assigned meeting rooms, attention to detail.
  • Inspect linen, silver, china, glassware and other table items for cleanliness and appearance.
  • Serve food, coffee, water and other beverages to customers as required on the banquet event order.
  • Resolve complaints in regards to banquet functions in a timely, positive and professional manner.
  • Clean banquet room and banquet area during and after banquet functions.
  • Be aware of and practice Langham Hotel’s service standards.
  • Positive team player with the ability to get larger tasks completed.
  • Follow health and safety procedures according to hotel specifications.
  • Work well in a team atmosphere and independently.
  • Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products as assigned by your supervisor to adhere to Health standards.
  • Adhere to All State, Federal and Corporate food handling and alcohol serving regulations.
  • Communicate with Banquet Management on a daily basis.
  • Communicate and coordinate with Chef in regards of special dietary restrictions or allergies.
  • Cooperate closely with other members of the banquet team including servers, porters and kitchen associates.
  • Acquire a working knowledge of the hotel, in house facilities and local information to respond to customer inquiries.
