About The Position
This position involves preparing bodies for postmortem examinations, assisting pathologists during and after the examination, and preparing bodies for release to funeral homes. The role also includes providing medical photography services and supporting the transfer of cadavers to the anatomy laboratory and into storage. The individual will maintain cadavers and the anatomy lab, assist with prosections of cadavers as needed, and perform routine and non-routine activities involved in the storage, filing, and preparation of slides for microscopic evaluation, adhering to established quality control criteria and procedures. This position is located at the Mecosta County Services building in Big Rapids, MI 49307.
