We're looking for on-call Archaeologists to join our Cultural Resources team supporting upcoming projects in Eastern Oregon and Eastern Washington. This position will be on-call with duration and schedule of assignments dependent on project needs.
Participate in archeological survey, evaluation, data recovery, and monitoring support.
Operate GPS equipment, conduct excavations using shovel probes, auger probes, and test units, and monitor backhoe excavations and construction activities.
Additional responsibilities after fieldwork, including artifact processing, report preparation, and other writing assignments.
Undergraduate degree with archaeology coursework.
Archaeology field or comparable internship, training, or work experience. 1+ year of experience preferred.
Familiarity with Washington and Oregon archaeological site types.
The ability to hike in the range of 10+ miles per day and carry loads of 40 lbs. over difficult terrain.
The ability to travel between work sites within Eastern Washington & Oregon, occasional overnight travel may be required.
