About The Position

Hot 106.5 Jacksonville is seeking a Full-Time On-Air Talent who can create engaging content and connect with audiences both on-air and through social media. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be a team player, and possess the ability to deliver compelling content while maximizing ratings and revenue. This role requires creativity, storytelling skills, and an understanding of pop culture, along with the ability to work within format parameters.

Requirements

• Strong on-air presence.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Track record of success in ratings and revenue.
• Experience operating all on-air and production equipment.
• Experience with audio software editing products (Adobe Audition, etc.).
• Computer skills for audio delivery and automation systems (Wide Orbit, Audiovault, etc.), word processing, audio editing, and web/social media.
• Available as needed, including nights, weekends, etc.
• Possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum 2 years' on-air experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Show prep, including format-related content, pop-culture content, and local content.
• Writing and posting web and social media content.
• Writing and delivering commercial or personal endorsement content.
• Hosting regular on-air shifts on HOT 106.5.
• Working closely with the program director to develop relatable content and execute format.
• Delivering ratings goals and assisting in the programming department.
• Control board operation, including editing phone bits, interviews, and other audio.
• Participating in remotes and appearances at station or life group functions as assigned.
• Collaborating with sales and promotions to maximize revenue opportunities.
