About The Position

WILK, Scranton/Wilkes-Barre’s newstalk leader is seeking a Part-Time Talk Host. This role involves creating original content and performing live broadcasts that are entertaining and informative. The Talk Host will also participate and create original content for all social media platforms, managing their online personality presence, while protecting the station’s FCC license. Keeping up with and knowing the news of the day is essential, as well as ensuring that promotions and contests are executed properly.

Requirements

• Candidates must have one year radio, television, and/or newspaper reporting/writing experience or equivalent experience in broadcasting.
• Must exude personality and not be afraid to have strong opinions.
• Possess the ability to entertain in person.
• Should have an interest in current events and news.
• Must be an excellent communicator with strong creative skills.
• Knowledge of the format and audience required.
• Excellent on-air voice and storytelling skills.

Responsibilities
