About The Position

Cumulus Media in Nashville is seeking a dynamic On-Air Host to join their team. This role involves hosting or co-hosting radio shows that are entertaining, informative, and community-oriented, with a focus on generating ratings. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Country Music and will be responsible for producing quality shows, engaging with listeners, and participating in community events.

Requirements

• 3+ years of full-time on-air experience with a successful ratings history.
• Strong production skills and knowledge of Op X, VOX Pro/Adobe Audition, and Audacity.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and social networking.
• Strong knowledge of FCC rules and regulations.
• Up-to-date with local and national trends, especially in Country Music.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in grammar.

• Demonstrated creativity and imagination in show production.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with others.

Responsibilities

• Produce a compelling radio show using creativity and independent professional judgment.
• Engage with listeners through phones, social media, and live events.
• Participate in station programming, promotions, and sales meetings.
• Assist in production and imaging of the station.
• Conduct live broadcasts and station appearances, both paid and unpaid.
• Create commercial production and endorsement ads for products.
• Handle emergency news and weather updates during shows.
• Ensure all programming elements are aired as logged.
