About The Position

The Omnichannel Operations Manager oversees non-new inventory operations across retail stores and Best Buy’s Outlet channel. This role is responsible for co-development of business strategies and plans with direct accountability to delivery of plans, processes and resources to the retail organization. This role ensures that across Best Buy, stores and outlets have what’s needed to effectively intake and sell non-new items. The manager is the primary field facing contact around all Outlet and retail open box product operations. This role comes with direct people leadership responsibilities, as well as indirect leadership and influence of stakeholders across the company. The Manager develops and maintains resources critical to the open box business, including communication updates, training, and leadership development for the Outlet Leadership and their associates. Additionally, this role will assist with both Run the Business needs involving Retail open box Inventory, Product Flow, and Fulfillment support, as well as providing intake support in those areas. They provide insight and reporting on the Outlet and Retail Open Box landscape and collaborate to refine strategy and operations in the short and long term. This leader should have strong business and data acumen, excellent communication skills, and be a strategic forward thinker. Our team follows a hybrid schedule: in-office Tuesday–Thursday, with remote flexibility Monday and Friday.

Requirements

  • 5+ years or more of Business, Retail, Sales, Operations, or related experience
  • 5+ years or more of Retail supervisory or management experience. Multi-unit experience preferred
  • 5+ years of performance management, people development, hiring and onboarding of a team
  • 4+ years or more of Financial management experience with P&L responsibilities
  • Excellent communication, organizational, data analysis and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong understanding of Retail Operations and/or Reverse Supply Chain
  • 3+ years or more of experience leading transformational projects or delivering continuous improvement results

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate cross functionally across the organization to support non-new inventory disposition in both Outlets and Core Retail locations, aimed at recovery rate preservation and healthy retail capacity. Influence internal partners as required.
  • Ensure corporate actions and direction is deployed in a way that can be consistently and efficiently executed by stores, consistent with retail SOP and parameters.
  • Provide critical data and feedback to inform and influence the Outlet/Open Box strategy current and future state.
  • Ensure business, retail, and Inventory Optimization strategies are aligned in support of the employee and customer experience.
  • Act as an operational SME and represent retail feedback throughout decision making process.
  • Lead open box network design and capacity alignment across the retail network of stores, as well as ensure open box is effectively integrated into store design/ prototypes.
  • Bring together partners and insights to help drive accountability for execution, and to influence corporate strategies.
  • Work with Outlet & retail stores and multi-unit leaders to solicit feedback, collaborate on plans, and resolve local needs.
  • Accountable to providing swift responses and issue resolution in all retail support and communications vehicles for category responsibilities.
  • Accountable for providing guidance, answers, and support to retail stores and Outlet Operations & Strategy team in all areas of responsibility.
