About The Position

The position involves providing exceptional customer service at the Cullman Parks, Recreation, & Sports Tourism (CPRST) facilities. The role requires representing the CPRST brand, maintaining professional relationships, and assisting with various front desk operations. Responsibilities include managing membership applications, handling customer inquiries, and ensuring compliance with cash handling and service standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • At least one year of experience in fitness center customer service, clerical, and/or sales related experience.
  • Experience in childcare.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Must meet Park Board employment and physical standards, including a background check and drug and alcohol screening.
  • Experience and training demonstrating the knowledge, skills, and aptitude to perform the defined duties.

Responsibilities

  • Represents the CPRST brand while providing a high level of customer service to visitors and members.
  • Documents and reports daily activity of day-pass sales, new membership applications, and canceled memberships.
  • Maintains professional internal and external relationships in keeping with CPRST core values.
  • Administers opening and closing responsibilities for the front desk.
  • Assists facility management in handling member conflict resolution.
  • Upholds the integrity of the membership by having all members and guests check-in when entering the facility.
  • Signs up new members, ensuring they understand all the benefits of various memberships.
  • Works closely with new members to ensure all questions are accurately answered.
  • Escorts membership leads on facility tours, communicating the features and benefits of the facility.
  • Tracks new membership leads and follows up with prospects to close on membership sales.
  • Maintains persistent check of front desk money handling standards.
  • Maintains persistent check of front desk service standards.
  • Answers phone calls professionally and connects calls to appropriate staff members.
  • Assists the CPRST Customer Service Coordinator in maintaining front desk inventory.
  • Conducts new member file audits with the CPRST Customer Service Coordinator.
  • Attends all meetings as required by superiors.
  • Works with team members to reach monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals.
  • Establishes and maintains sound business and financial procedures.
  • Exhibits a high level of professionalism and ethics.
  • Exhibits proficiency in written and oral communication.
