About The Position

We are seeking an Urgent Care Veterinarian at Olympia Pet Emergency in Lacey, WA. We have been caring for pet emergencies in the Olympia area for over 20 years. As an associate at our 24-hour ER facility, you will be faced with challenging medical and surgical cases, working 10-12 shifts per month, but you will not be alone. OPE backs you up with a highly trained support team, wonderful pet owners, and colleagues who welcome the chance to discuss and learn from difficult cases. We are an AAHA-accredited emergency facility and are currently working to become a VECCS-certified hospital. We are leaders in the field of emergency veterinary medicine and we're proud of our compassionate, collaborative, and trustworthy approach to veterinary care.

Requirements

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree.
• Licensure to practice veterinary medicine in Washington State.
• Experience in emergency veterinary medicine preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with surgical procedures in an emergency setting.
• Strong communication skills with pet owners and team members.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency veterinary care to pets in need.
• Work collaboratively with a support team and other veterinarians.
• Manage challenging medical and surgical cases.
