About The Position

The Server is primarily responsible for providing exceptional table service to guests according to Oliveto policies and performance standards to create 100% guest satisfaction and quality work environment.

Requirements

• Requires the equivalent completion of 9th grade in school.
• Common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
• Ability to solve problems requiring standardized solutions.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure.
• Ability to perform arithmetic operations involving all American monetary units.
• Ability to recognize words and word meanings commonly found in procedural instructions, business reports, and food and non-food product labels.
• Ability to construct and write simple sentences containing subject, verb, and object.
• Ability to speak simple sentences using normal word order and present and past tenses.

Responsibilities

• Follows established steps of service to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Delivers hot and cold food to the guests' table.
• Assists restaurant guests and records their orders, ensuring 100% guest satisfaction.
• Writes and prices guest checks and/or operates point of sale equipment per company policies.
• Maintains sufficient knowledge of the menu to use suggestive selling with all guests.
• Checks all orders to ensure they are complete, prepared as ordered, portioned correctly, and attractive in appearance.
