About The Position

Oliver Wyman is a global leader in management consulting, with offices in 60 cities across 29 countries. The firm combines deep industry knowledge with specialized expertise in strategy, operations, risk management, and organization transformation. The position is for an Engagement Manager in the Consumer, Telco, & Technology (CTT) and Performance Transformation (PT) practice groups, located in Boston, Chicago, New York, or Dallas. Engagement Managers are critical leaders within the consulting team, working closely with clients to deliver significant improvements in sales growth and profitability, particularly in the retail sector. The role involves leading client projects, managing complex programs, and developing others within the firm.

Requirements

  • 4-7 years of relevant experience in strategy consulting with a top-tier strategy consulting firm.
  • Track record of leading and managing teams in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong background in strategic problem solving with demonstrable analytical skills.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python.
  • Machine learning, data science, AI/genAI capabilities preferred.
  • Client management experience.
  • An undergraduate or advanced degree from a top academic program.
  • A passion for the creative process and expansive thinking.
  • Impeccable judgment with the ability to make timely decisions.
  • Willingness to travel 50% of the time, including internationally.

Responsibilities

  • Providing day to day leadership of client projects and aspects of the client relationship and commercial process.
