We are seeking an Oklahoma Roads & Highways Director to join our Oklahoma City, OK office. AtkinsRéalis is a world-class engineering services and nuclear organization. For over 50 years, we’ve partnered with public and private clients across the U.S. to deliver infrastructure planning, engineering, construction, environmental consulting, urban planning, architecture, and program management. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Management coursework and/or MBA is a plus.
  • Over 15 years of experience since B.S., with at least five years in project management or supervisory responsibilities.
  • Excellent technical and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage individuals and teams, provide leadership, and manage project production.
  • Must have business vision and excellent communication skills.
  • P.E. (Professional Engineer) license is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Post graduate degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Oklahoma Roads & Highways team, providing leadership, direction, and technical guidance.
  • Ensure quality technical services are provided to clients and that the technical work unit meets its operating performance targets.
  • Manage project production, project acquisition/client relations, and financial management of the work unit.
  • Responsible for project delivery for programs and projects across multiple Business Units and local Clients including ODOT, OTA, Oklahoma City, Counties, and municipalities across Oklahoma.
  • Coordinate regional and national workshare on major projects across the central region and nationally.
  • Identify current and future staffing availability based on technical and budgetary requirements.
  • Conduct semi-annual performance reviews and annual career planning sessions with direct reports.
  • Ensure appropriate staff allocation to projects considering project schedules, budgets, and key milestone dates.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with established quality control standards.
  • Participate in pursuing new project opportunities by maintaining contacts with current and prospective clients.
  • Grow a strong team capable of performing all aspects of street, roadway, highway, drainage, interchange, intersections, widening, resurfacing and overall transportation design services.
