About The Position

As a Lubricant Driver for the oil and lubes division at Rolfson Oil the main responsibilities will be to safely and efficiently deliver lubricant products using various types of vehicles (tanker, semi, stake bed, F550, compression trucks, etc.) to customer locations. Requires a minimum Class B commercial driver’s license.

Requirements

  • Knowledgeable and compliant with all DOT regulations
  • Experienced with operating various types of vehicles (tanker, semi, stake bed, F550, compression trucks, etc.)
  • Self-motivated, trusted, and capable of working in an unsupervised environment; proactive, doesn't wait for instruction
  • Able to identify and troubleshoot problems in a very fast-paced environment, able to multi-task
  • Detail oriented
  • Customer service oriented
  • Accountability- Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions
  • Professional and knowledgeable about the products (especially Level 1)
  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Three years of related experience
  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Valid Class B or Class A CDL
  • Completion of company and customer required safety training
  • Basic reading, writing, speaking, and math skills (Proficient in English)
  • Pass drug test

Responsibilities

  • Transport oils and lubes products safely and efficiently to various job sites through bulk product transfers as well as packaged (totes, drums, cases, cased good, etc.)
  • Safely operate, maneuver, and navigate commercial vehicle on paved highways and dirt haul roads
  • Ensure that all traffic laws, safety, compliance, and DOT requirements are always followed
  • Complete and submit daily pre- and post- trip inspections
  • Maintain the vehicle to meet all DOT regulations or notify manager if maintenance needs to be completed and equipment serviced
  • Perform minor vehicle maintenance (this includes pressure washing and greasing, changing tires and oil, and completing and sending maintenance logs)
  • Perform safety inspections as required by DOT, and maintain a DOT driver log
  • Comply with all company and customer safety rules, policies, and procedures
  • Load, transport, and unload each shipment without delay
  • Secure all products, hoses, and other essential tools by using approved securing method
  • Complete all necessary paperwork and maintain records for both the company and customers in compliance with State and Federal laws and regulations
  • Maintain telephone contact with supervisor to receive instructions
  • Complete work tickets and maintain daily inventory of tools and equipment
  • Maintain exceptional level of customer service
  • Other duties and projects as assigned
  • Perform services for customers including, but not limited to, oil changes; generator changes; top drive changes; mud pump changes; draw works changes; anti-freeze flushes; and compressor motor changes
  • Customer services/sales by speaking to customers while on site about products and services to generate sales (requires extensive product knowledge and communication to operations on new orders)
  • Compression site work, which is labor intensive (involves 9-15 delivers a day, elevated tanks, hose slinging, etc
