About The Position

Position is responsible for general oilfield chemicals laboratory testing, analyzing data and generating reports.

Requirements

• Undergraduate or graduate degree program in Chemistry, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum of 1 years’ experience in industry or academic laboratory setting.
• Position is in person located in The Woodlands, TX. Relocation is not offered.
• Strong communication skills; both verbal and written.
• Ability to identify problems and execute standard procedures.
• Acute attention to detail.
• Ability to use MS Word, Excel, Outlook efficiently.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with instrumental and wet chemical techniques preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct analyses of raw material and finished product samples using tensiometers, densitometers, pH meters and viscometers.
• Perform standard oilfield chemicals laboratory performance testing.
• Adapt ASTM test methodologies for new product line development.
• Communicate results directly with the team and Technology Lab Manager.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and other documentation as required.
• Maintain a clean and safe laboratory working environment including organization of materials.
• Utilize good laboratory practices and perform lab procedures in accordance with the SOPs.
• Wear required PPE while carrying out position responsibilities.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
