Take 5 emphasizes internal growth with a "Pit Tech to President" path, noting that over 90% of field leaders are internal promotions. This specific role is for an Oil Change Team Member, also referred to as a full-time crew member or lube tech. No prior experience is required as paid training is provided to teach skills like changing oil, replacing wiper blades/air filters, filling air in tires, and performing other light maintenance services. The company values a willingness to learn, hard work, and a positive attitude. Many successful lube technicians joined without experience, while others came from backgrounds like servers, restaurant workers, mechanics, retail employees, landscapers, and other skilled trade workers.

Requirements

Must be able to lift to fifty (50) pounds
Must be able to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3’ deep pit to position yourself safely under cars
Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc. for extended periods of time and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning
Must be willing to work in hot/cold weather conditions if necessary
Must have reliable transportation to and from the shop
Willingness to learn
