About The Position

Take 5 Oil Change is hiring for the position of Assistant Shop Manager. This role is ideal for customer service-oriented individuals who are driven and possess leadership qualities. The company values experience but does not require it, making it accessible for those from various backgrounds, including restaurant workers, mechanics, and retail employees. The position offers paid training on managing a shop location, performing oil changes, and other light maintenance services. Take 5 promotes from within, with over 90% of Shop Managers starting as Crew Members or Assistant Shop Managers. Requirements

  • Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds
  • Must be able to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3’ deep pit safely
  • Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc. for extended periods
  • Must be willing to work in hot/cold weather conditions if necessary
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the shop

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service and process payment for services performed
  • Assume the responsibility and authority of the Shop Manager in their absence
  • Run the floor, ensuring each employee is in their designated position and that all vehicles are checked
  • Perform opening and closing procedures
  • Assist with counting and adjusting inventory
  • Train new employees to fulfill duties in the Take 5 way
  • Drain motor oil, change oil filters, and perform other auto services as necessary
  • Restock and maintain inventory levels on the floor
  • Maintain cleanliness in the shop, office, and bathroom
