About The Position

Take 5 Oil Change is hiring for the position of Assistant Shop Manager. This role is ideal for customer service-oriented individuals who are driven and possess leadership qualities. The company values experience but does not require it, as they provide paid training to all new hires. The Assistant Shop Manager will be responsible for managing shop operations in the absence of the Shop Manager, ensuring excellent customer service, and training new employees. The position offers a competitive pay rate and opportunities for advancement within the company.

Requirements

• Must be able to lift to fifty (50) pounds
• Must be able to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3’ deep pit to position yourself safely under cars
• Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc. for extended periods of time
• Must be willing to work in hot/cold weather conditions if necessary
• Must have reliable transportation to and from the shop

Nice To Haves

• Experience in customer service or management roles
• Background in skilled trades or automotive services

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and process payment for services performed
• Assume the responsibility and authority of the Shop Manager in the Shop Manager’s absence
• Run the floor, ensuring each employee is in the right position and every customer is satisfied before they leave
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Assist with counting and adjusting inventory
• Train new employees to fulfill duties in the Take 5 way
• Drain motor oil, change oil filters, and perform other auto services as necessary
• Restock and maintain inventory levels on the floor
• Maintain shop, office, and bathroom cleanliness
