Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related oil and gas industry experience.
  • Experience with natural gas pipelines and trenchless crossings.
  • Experience with natural gas regulating facilities.
  • Ability to perform project tasks involving site investigation and evaluation of permitting requirements.
  • Experience interfacing with Federal, State, and local agencies for project planning.
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Office and standard Power Market Sector design software.
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in project execution within the Power Market Sector.
  • Preferred computer skills include AutoCAD, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Earth, and ArcGIS.
  • Self-motivated, creative, and strong organizational skills.
  • Strong inter-personal communication, writing, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead engineering duties for multi-disciplined natural gas pipelines, liquids pipelines, and facility projects.
  • Mentor younger engineering staff on design codes and considerations in oil and gas fields.
  • Review and/or perform linear pipeline design and associated calculations.
  • Verify code and standard compliance, conduct quality checks, and review manufacturers drawings.
  • Prepare procurement specifications and construction documents, and conduct bid evaluations.
  • Conduct conceptual design studies, report writing, and select materials and equipment.
  • Observe construction, participate in project meetings, and handle project permitting.
  • Manage task level efforts on projects and function as a deputy Project Manager when required.
  • Travel for internal project team meetings, client meetings, and contractor/vendor meetings.
