About The Position

Requirements

  • Four years of relevant experience in environmental or regulatory compliance, conducting field inspections, or enforcement activities related to air pollution, or a combination of education and experience equating to four years.
  • Ability to gather, analyze, and interpret data for program monitoring or decision-making purposes.
  • Experience writing technical documents and providing compliance assistance.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct field inspections of oil and gas stationary sources to determine compliance with air pollution regulations.
  • Document inspection findings and prepare reports that meet EPA's minimum data requirements.
  • Investigate citizen complaints related to air quality and assess potential violations.
  • Provide compliance assistance to oil and gas operations regarding state and federal air regulations.
  • Participate in enforcement actions by presenting findings and supporting compliance efforts.
  • Attend training courses to develop skills necessary for a fully trained inspector.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and other teams within the division on regulatory and policy development.
