About The Position
The Office of Inspector General is the investigative arm of the Cabinet for Health and Family Services. We conduct numerous types of investigations which requires critical thinking and research into various Cabinet policies & procedures as well as State and Federal laws. Our most vital role is to safeguard the assets of the Cabinet. We do this by both investigating and preventing against waste, fraud and abuse. Our investigations protect and preserve important Cabinet programs such as Medicaid as well many others that our most vulnerable citizens depend on every day. Our office is also responsible for employee and Cabinet contractor investigations in order to maintain the integrity of the Cabinet.
