About The Position

The Offsite Referral and Pre-Certification Specialist is responsible for completing all referrals and pre-certification requirements according to established protocols.

Requirements

• HS/GED

Nice To Haves

• Experience in processing prior-authorizations and referrals is preferred.
• Understands requirements for Internal WMG referrals as well as Outgoing Referrals.
• Understands the concept of PCP and referrals protocols as defined by Insurance Carriers.

Responsibilities

• Obtains referral and/or precerts for patients for internal and external appointments and/or orders.
• Communicates information pertaining to referrals and/or precertifications to patients, external medical offices, and internal staff as per established protocol.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
