Our team in Space & Defense is looking for an Offshore Supply Specialist to join them. You will report to the Supply Chain Manager and will have an onsite work schedule in Blacksburg, Virginia.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 3 years of coordinating experience.
  • Experience in Microsoft Excel and utilizing mathematical skills.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail in task execution.
  • Proven ability to analyze situations and solve problems efficiently.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining organization.
  • Professional composure in challenging situations.
  • Ability to travel internationally (up to 1 week per quarter).

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the program coordinator for our offshore contract manufacturer.
  • Provide a build schedule to our offshore site(s) as identified by the master schedule.
  • Work with offshore sites to ensure schedule is met, identifying constraints and solving obstacles.
  • Identify possible production shortfalls and report issues to management in a proactive manner.
  • Process requisitions to offshore site(s), including cost analysis, approval process, and purchase order generation.
  • Assist in the resolution of problem invoices.
  • Maintain purchasing and supplier qualification SOPs and checklists.
  • Enforce and follow policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to purchasing.
  • Provide reports to management on weekly and monthly production commitments, shortages, and expenditures.
  • Be cross-trained to help in other areas as needed.
  • Perform any other tasks as assigned by direct supervisor or General Manager.
  • Work with minimal supervision.
