PRIMARY PURPOSE Assists with all aspects of maintenance on an offshore production platform. Executes day to day maintenance activities according to safety standards. Coordinates and completes documentation and activities necessary. Ensures production equipment is maintained according to company standards. Assists teams with developing solutions to rectify issues that may hinder production activities. Works with interdisciplinary offshore teams to develop solutions to mitigate production stoppages due to repair/ maintenance activities on production platforms.

Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • Professional / Technical Qualifications/Licences/Certifications: Minimum: THUET, T-2 Certificate Additional: Advanced Fire Fighting, Lifeboatman, Fast Rescue Craft, First Aid / CPR, Helicopter Landing Officer
  • Experience: at least one year experience on GOM Oxy Platform
  • Skills & Competencies: Familiar with the needs and requirements of Permit To Work (PTW) systems

Responsibilities

  • Timely preventive maintenance and corrective activities and special projects involving mechanical components and systems to prevent down time and ensuring the efficient and continual functioning of all mechanical equipment on board the production platform. This will include, but not be limited to the following: main engines, air compressors, fire pumps, portable water system, bilge manifold and bilge system, sewage treatment system, cold start air compressors, lifeboats, and cranes
  • Make regular rounds and respond to issues - Troubleshooting, problem solving and properly planning and implementing all projects including the preventative maintenance and repair of all mechanical equipment
  • Identify all parts, supplies and equipment necessary for the job
  • Partner with OIM to ensure the items are order in a just in time manner
  • Perform all work in a safe and efficient manner
  • Ensure appropriate JSA and risk analysis are performed, discussed and understood by all parties involved in the work.
  • Ensure any other employees / contractors assisting with the job understand their role and the process the job will undergo
  • Provide ongoing supervision / direction and monitoring of work activities provided by contracting mechanical personnel
