Requirements

  • Coursework/training or experience in public contact, customer service, and/or performing and applying office/clerical support procedures, including the use of a personal computer, associated software, and office equipment.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Proofreading skills
  • Accurate data entry.
  • Able to file and retrieve materials using alphabetical and numerical filing systems.
  • Able to perform repetitive work in a high volume, fast paced work environment.

Nice To Haves

  • At least one year of customer service experience, experience with Enterprise One, NFOCUS, MMIS, OnBase, and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Provide general office assistance and maintain office supplies.
  • Enter information from Medical and NFOCUS claim forms with 95% accuracy and 8000 keystrokes per hour.
  • Identify and correct any errors in the data.
  • Sort, file, and organize documents.
  • Open and process incoming mail.
  • Copy documents as needed and conduct research to verify information.
  • Review medical claim forms for missing or incomplete information and correct discrepancies.
  • Answer calls regarding claim status, client eligibility, and provider payments.
  • Use mainframe systems to verify and provide accurate information.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all billing and provider-related information.
  • Exhibit strong attention to detail and proofreading skills to ensure accuracy of documents and reports.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
