About The Position

The Contractors State License Board (CSLB) is currently recruiting for an Office Technician (Typing) in the Enforcement Division's Case Management/Citation Enforcement Section. This position is located in NORWALK. Under the general direction of the Supervising Special Investigator I (Non-Peace Officer), the Office Technician (Typing) performs a variety of complex clerical and technical duties necessary to support the initiation, processing and maintenance of cases from the Division of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH), and non-licensee and licensee citation cases in the Citation Enforcement Section. Requirements

  • Candidates new to state service must take the online Office Technician (Typing) exam to establish eligibility
  • The position(s) require(s) the ability to type at a minimum speed as designated on the Class Specifications (link available in the additional documentation section). You must obtain a valid typing certificate confirming your ability to meet the minimum typing speed, prior to being hired.
  • Pursuant to California Business and Professions Code 154.3, incumbents in this position will be required to submit fingerprints to the Department of Justice for criminal history background clearance and be cleared before hiring.
  • A cover letter is required, and applicants must include one. The cover letter serves as documentation of each candidate's ability to present information clearly and concisely in writing.

  • Applicants who fail to submit the most current version of the STD. 678 may be disqualified.
