About The Position

PURPOSE OF POSITION: Under general supervision, provides work direction to other employees in the Office Support Specialist and Case Aide classifications. Provides administrative support to agency directors and supervisors, or to a major program area in an agency. May be required to know technical terminology or special software programs. Will often research and respond to issues that may have no immediate solutions within established procedures and guidelines. Program Coordinator for all HHVS transportation programs. WORK PERFORMED/JOB FUNCTIONS: Assist the Support Services Supervisor and act on their behalf in their absence. Assists in overseeing the maintenance of office supplies and forms required for agency operation. Develop, implement, and maintain office procedures and work systems to resolve existing problems or respond to new systems or policies. Provides Agency employees with information, assistance, and services. Issues are often complicated and varied, with final solutions requiring considerable research. Administrative Support for the Cass County Advisory Committee. Manage all aspects of contract organization. Acts as liaison for social services agency with county human resources staff and assists in completing necessary personnel forms for submittal to county personnel office or merit system. Supports job efficiency efforts with staff throughout the agency. Performs other duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: A good understanding of human relations within and outside of the agency. The ability to handle conflict and assess the need for intervention by the administration. The understanding of the need for confidentiality regarding employee issues and who to refer these matters to. MINIMUM TRAINING, EXPERIENCE, OR CERTIFICATIONS: Three years of increasingly responsible clerical experience or experience working with the public. Experience with Microsoft Office, DHS System Programs (i.e., Maxis, SSIS, MMIS, EBT Edge), Adobe Acrobat Pro, AppXtender, and Electronic In/Out Board. Must possess a valid driver’s license. PHYSICAL EFFORT: Sedentary to light physical activities requiring stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, talking, hearing, and close vision. The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 35 pounds. Typically, in an office environment. Requirements
