Position Summary Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Practice including coordinating BA, MA, Schedulers, Device Clinic, RN, Hospital teamwork processes, supervising and scheduling of staff, evaluating performance, and participating in the employment process. In addition, performs a variety of clinical, technical and clerical functions in relation to patient care. Education Bachelors or Associate's degree in Business Administration or health related field preferred, or combination of formal course work- and job-related experience. Completion of formal Medical Assistant program that is recognized by the State of New Jersey. Experience Two years previous supervisory experience preferred. Demonstrated proficiency with various software programs including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Power Point. Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) a plus. Previous MA experience. Skills Current and valid certification as a certified medical assistant or registered medical assistant required. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint or graphics software required. Good organizational skills required. Ability to communicate effectively (oral and in writing). Ability to effectively interact with patients to meet their needs. Ability to work independently. Ability to work cooperatively within a team environment. Ability to handle frequent interruptions, adapt to changes in workload, adapt to changes in workload, and work schedule. Ability to set priorities, make effective decisions, and respond quickly to patient's needs. Ability to recognize and deal with problematic situations and to prioritize.
