About The Position

QUALIFICATIONS Required : Further training and/or work experience in the clinic specialty; Ability to work effectively as a team member in the delivery of health care services; Ability to interview, examine, assess, evaluate, and identify health problems for patients. Current Oregon RN license. Preferred : Previous experience in a clinic setting Lic/Reg/Cert : Current Oregon RN license. TYPICAL PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS Medium physical, high mental demand capabilities required. Must be able to work independently, as well as with other physicians/clinical staff, courteously and professionally. Able to work with time constraints and high stress situations. Must be able to work/maneuver frequently in and around work areas. Excellent problem solving skills required. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Provides and maintains a therapeutic environment for patients and families. Articulates the professional nursing role to the patient, family and health team members. Communicates the plan of care and other pertinent information to / from other patient care team members. Provides nursing care appropriate to age group of patients. Observes, reports, and documents relevant patient information. Helps define standards of excellence for patient care; participates in improvement of patient care services. Participates in and contributes to performance improvement activities. Collaborates with other professional and non-professional personnel in maintaining recognized standards. Participates in orientation of new permanent and temporary staff members. Appropriately utilizes nursing resources, equipment and supplies. Participates in daily activities conducive to the comfort & safety of patients / their families & practice staff. Provides input to the practice leadership regarding practice needs. Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills based on current nursing education practice. Screening, dosing and administration of injections. Instruction and administration of tests. Maintain medical records in orderly fashion. Telephone triage of patients. Renewal of prescription refill to pharmacies. Recognition of medical emergency and initiation of alert and treatment system. MARGINAL JOB FUNCTIONS Performs other duties as assigned.
