About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Phlebotomist to join our office team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in specimen collection, processing, and maintaining accurate documentation while ensuring a high level of patient care. This role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to compliance standards, and effective communication skills.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Trained and proficient in venipuncture for blood sample collection.
• Minimum of one year of experience in medical assisting or phlebotomy (preferred).
• Proven ability to communicate effectively and courteously with patients and staff.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols accurately.

Responsibilities

• Provide clear instructions to patients on providing urine and blood specimens.
• Perform venipuncture and ensure proper labeling of specimens.
• Accurately complete requisition forms and other required documentation.
• Prepare specimens and requisition forms for laboratory processing, including secure packaging in biohazard bags.
• Ensure timely shipping of samples to the designated laboratory and maintain supporting records/manifests.
