About The Position

The Office of Forecasting and Performance Training Coordinator position at the Florida Department of Transportation is responsible for assessing training program needs and organizing the delivery of approved statewide training programs. This includes advertising events, securing training facilities, preparing contracts, coordinating with instructors, registering students, and overseeing professional development hours and training records. The role also involves supporting the development and maintenance of the training webpage and SharePoint site.

Requirements

  • Two years of work experience.
  • High school diploma or its equivalent.
  • Knowledge of Project Management concepts and principles.
  • Knowledge of basic training methods and practices.
  • Knowledge of engineering and design standards in transportation systems.

Responsibilities

  • Assess training program needs and delivery capabilities.
  • Organize the delivery of approved statewide training programs.
  • Advertise training events and secure training facilities.
  • Prepare contracts for services and coordinate with instructors.
  • Register students and process mission-critical tasks.
  • Deliver equipment and coordinate the production of course materials.
  • Provide on-site support and oversee professional development hours.
  • Support the development and maintenance of the training webpage and SharePoint site.
  • Assist with the development and delivery of Project Management training programs.
  • Coordinate project management program activities in conferences and meetings.
  • Develop and manage the Project Management Guide and associated training.
  • Facilitate communication of statewide Project Management Program resources.
